Charity -Georgia

It’s incredible how in despite of tragedy, people come together to help each other. It has been almost 6 months since the mass shooting right here in Virginia Beach. It’s the kind of thing you think will never happen to you… but it can… and it did. In the midst of all this mayhem, our fellow peers have come together in aid and support for the victims and their families. One of the notable contributors is a close family friend of mine, John Questore.

John is a New York native, like myself, but has called Virginia Beach home for over 30 years. He has always been involved in his community and is always looking for ways to serve others so when this tragedy occurred, he knew exactly what he had to do. In an effort to blend his passions of writing, horror, and being a good samaritan, he developed and edited a collection of short stories that he put together in a Horror Anthology called Dark Tides. This book contains 30 original and reprinted short stories from both local authors and more notable ones such as Stephen King. The book can be purchased from Amazon or Barns and Noble and all of the proceeds will go to help the victims and families effected from the shooting.

This is just one small way we can help. Time may have passed, but the hurt continues.
