DIY Game Night

I threw my first ever Game Night this weekend and had so much fun planning the food, decorations and of course, games!

First up: Decorations:

I went simple with a DIY Game Night sign that I printed and then strung onto a battery operated strand of lights

I set out games as decorations, used my chalkboard sign for Tic-Tac-Toe and framed free printables.

For the Food:

I made Tic-Tac-Tow Meatballs and Battleship Jalepeno Poppers

A Trivia Pursuit Veggie Tray and Cheeseball Checkers.

For dessert Domino Brownies and Minute to Win It Oreos for a game to follow.

Ok the games!

We played Jenga but since it was a diverse group meeting for the first time I taped conversation pieces to the back for a little “get to know you.” If you pulled one of those pieces, you had to answer the question on the back.

For “Minute to Win It” Oreos you start with an Oreo on your forehead and have a minute to get it in your mouth without touching it.  My husband did it in like 20 seconds.  Clearly a hidden talent I didn’t know he possessed.

I made a DIY version of Telestrations using this tutorial and my own “Prizes.”

Gold medals: Hershey’s Gold bars

Silver: Ghiradelli Eggnog Squares

Bronze: Ghiradelli Pumpkin Spice Squares

and for a bonus prize: 100 Grand and a Reese’s (because those are the winner of best candy in my opinion)

It was so much fun and I’m already planning my next one!
