It was one of my favorite shows EVER! You can still find me sitting back on a lazy afternoon watching reruns on Hulu.

Will Friedle, who played Eric Matthews in the popular 90s sitcom, posted a couple pictures on his Instagram and it just brought a huge smile on my face.

Big Red’s Billion Dollar Idea…

So the offices surrounding The Eagle studios are currently in the process of being painted, and as many of you probably know, the smell of paint isn’t a pleasant smell whatsoever. I was walking through the halls, taking in the smell of paint, and thought to myself, why hasn’t someone invented a scented version of paint?

We had the technology a long time ago for scratch and sniff stickers, and markers that smell like your favorite fruit. Why can’t that same technology be used to make either a scented paint, or an unscented paint that doesn’t release fumes that isn’t healthy for the average human being. It would make the annoying chore of painting less aggravating, it would also allow people to paint at anytime, and not risk smelling up the place they are painting.

This may sound crazy, but I truly believe it would work. We can make wax smell like Flannel, or the Beach, why the heck can’t we make paint smell like something we enjoy?

Let me know your thought.

watermelon

Big Red Revelations: Watermelon is the GOAT

I’m sitting here doing my show, admittedly eating my watermelon, when I stopped and thought to myself. Why don’t I eat more watermelon, it is literally the greatest fruit of ALL-TIME. So I dedicate this post to the fruit that some say is too heavy to bring home from the grocery store, that people complain about because it takes too long to cut, but at the end of the day everyone loves it.

First off let us just talk nutritionally, it legit has one of the most healthy things in the world [WATER] in the actual name of the fruit. Which means the more you eat, the more hydrated you become, which in Hampton Roads when the temperature reaches 115 degrees, is important. I probably don’t need to go any further with this argument, but I’m in a watermelon mood today, so I progress.

Secondly, everyone calls watermelon the fruit of the summer, and while it may be delicious on the hottest days of the year, you can still get the tasteful fruit YEAR ROUND! I don’t know why I haven’t figured that out sooner, but in my opinion this is a game changer. Why eat any other fruit, it’s nutritious, it looks amazing, it tastes better than it looks, and you can get it ALL Year long!

And lastly, can we talk about the innovation of the seedless watermelon? Talk about a bigger game changer than it being available all year long. Now don’t get me wrong, there is a little bit of fun when you find a watermelon full of seeds, and you eat the melon and spit out the seeds. But spitting is a bad habit, so it is probably for the best.

There is one thing I have to say, it will be a short point, but an important one. Whoever decided that Yellow Watermelons belong in grocery stores, needs to be immediately stripped of their title of grocery importer. Because it does not belong anywhere near the traditional Red Watermelon.

I know I have probably lost a lot of you, but for those who have stuck around until the end, you obviously are just as fascinated with Watermelon as I am. So let us all join together today on August 4, 2019. That watermelon is the Greatest Fruit of ALL-TIME!

Busch Gardens Summer Nights [PICS]

So one of my favorite parts about living in Hampton Roads is that there is so much to do in the surrounding areas. Whether it’s the many beaches we have accessible to us, the countless breweries and local eateries, or the historical landmarks that are just right down the road, this area is one of the best places in the world. One of those reasons is because we have one of the biggest theme parks in the country only an hour away in Williamsburg, Virginia. That theme park is one I am very familiar with growing up in this area, going with my family every summer, riding the roller coasters, the tea cups (low-key the best ride at the park), and enjoying the festivities that is involved. I was able to do something yesterday that I have never done at Busch Gardens in my entire life. And that is experience Busch Gardens Summer Nights.

So I got off the air at 3pm, and drove to Williamsburg, once I got to the park, my goal was to try and find as much of the Summer Nights special features they were offering. So I walked around, got some food, my fiance, Katie, who went with me got herself a Sangria in Germany (which was amazing!) and we ended up getting a chocolate covered pretzel twist (video down below), and just enjoy the park a little bit more. We made our way back to London and the Globe Theater for what I can honestly say was one of the most mind blowing performances I have ever witnessed by anyone playing a musical instrument. William Close & The Earth Harp Collective was the act performing, this guy won the bronze at AGT a few years ago, so I was intrigued. He started playing and what really sold me on the act was the rendition he did of the Game of Thrones theme song, which was incredible. Him and his other bandmates played a few more tunes and then that was the end of that. But I think the thing that was most incredible, is I sat back and watched him play his Earth Harp, and I still have NO IDEA how he does it.

After the show we walked around the park some more ate some incredible ribs from New France, and headed home. You can see some of the action from the post down below. But I highly recommend you check out Busch Gardens this summer for Summer Nights. They’ve got incredible things going on all summer and you’ll want to be apart of it!

Best Concert EVER [PHOTOS]

This past week I was able to experience one of the best concerts I have ever been to in my entire life. Thursday myself and my fiance headed to the Florida Georgia Line concert to hang out with the Eagle crew and I knew the night was just getting started, but I had no idea how incredible the night would actually be.

We get there and hangout with the Eagle listeners giving away some Meet & Greets to HARDY, Dan & Shay, and Morgan Wallen, and after a while it’s time to head into the venue and backstage where the day would just get that much better.

Getting to hang out with HARDY, Dan and Shay, Morgan Wallen, and Florida Georgia Line was an experience I’ll never forget. They were six of the nicest guys I’ve ever met, and so down to earth and really just thankful for everything that they have been apart of. I’m sure it happens all the time with people they meet, but meeting them in person makes me that much more invested in their careers moving forward, and I cannot wait to see how it continues to get bigger and better!

Check out some pictures and videos I took down below, again, it was a night I will not forget.

What is the best concert experience you’ve ever had?

What’s my favorite Ice Cream? [PHOTO]

I figured since it’s National Ice Cream Day, and one of the hottest days in the history of Hampton Roads. I would write a post that cooled me off and celebrated one of the best holidays of the year, I am going to tell you my favorite Ice Cream of ALL-TIME.

This may be one of the hardest questions to answer, because think about it, there are so many different types, flavors, brands, consistencies of ice cream out there. Whether it’s Blue Bell or Ben and Jerry’s. Or you like some soft-served ice cream from your favorite fast food restaurant. All ice cream has a place in this world, but there is only one that deserves the title Best of ALL-TIME.

The company is Ben and Jerry’s, and you may be thinking, Big Red, there are so many different flavors of Ben and Jerry’s how can you pick just one as your favorite? I had the same thought, until about 2 years ago when I was in between desserts. I wanted Cookies, but I also wanted Ice Cream. So as I began my adventure through the isles of Target, I came across the Ice Cream section and found what has become my favorite Ice Cream of all time. And it’s not even close.

The description reads: Vanilla Ice Cream with a Chocolate Cookie Swirl, Chocolate Chip & Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies. That is the description of heaven in a pint. I don’t know what heaven tastes like, but I have to imagine it’s pretty darn close to my FAVORITE ICE CREAM OF ALL-TIME. Milk & Cookies from Ben & Jerry’s.

If you’ve never had this… I’m telling you right now to go to your nearest Grocery Store and get some! It’ll be the best choice you make. You’re welcome!

Moon Day Oreos Review [PHOTO]

One of my favorite cookies of ALL-TIME is the Oreo. So since I’m on the air Saturday’s, and since today is Moon Day and the 50th Anniversary of the first moon walk. I figured it was a great idea to try the new limited edition Marshmallow Moon Oreo cookies.

As most of you probably know, sometimes the limited edition Oreos can be hit or miss. Some of the best flavors ever have come first by being a limited release, and then they are so popular that Oreo puts them out full time. And then there are some, that just shouldn’t even ever be a flavor to begin with.

There is no conspiracy around how amazing these cookies are, it’s your standard chocolate cookie, with a moon colored (dark purple/grayish) filling that may not taste like a marshmallow. But it TASTES AMAZING! A cool little added bonus is that Oreos made special additions to the cookie, with special illustrations, such as moons and rocket ships. A very cool detail.

So my final thoughts: The Marshmallow Moon Oreos, need to stay! They are incredible, I’m sure they will only be on the shelves for a little bit, but I hope they are around for a long time! You need these in your life, but you better hurry because they are probably going to be gone soon!

How I Once Shared the Screen with Kevin Bacon [PHOTO]

So I have lived in Hampton Roads for pretty much my entire life, except a few years here and there where I lived other places, and four years living in Lynchburg for college. But a year after I graduated college, I decided to take a chance and live in NYC for a while and see if I could “find myself”.

I was young and ready for an adventure. So I hopped on a train and headed up to The Big Apple with some money and a dream. I spent the first six or seven months working for a streaming service in their Quality Control department (where I pretty much got to watch TV and Movies every single day). It was an incredible job, but wasn’t what I wanted to do. So I decided to put in my two weeks and for the next few months, give acting a try.

The hardest part is finding out how to get involved, but once you find sites where you can be an extra for TV shows, movies, courtroom television, etc. You simply put your credentials in, send in a headshot of yourself and just wait. I did this for a few weeks before I heard anything from anyone. Until one day, I get a phone call from one of the production agents for “The Following” which was a pretty dark drama on FX starring Kevin Bacon and I had gotten a gig as an extra on one of the episodes.

I showed up, it was cold, wet, and SNOWING. But sure enough, I was one of the NYC residents just walking the streets in a scene of “The Following” sharing the small screen with Kevin Bacon. I obviously had no idea which episode I was in, but once it came out, I found myself quickly — Talk about a fun sight to see.

After this experience, I was given a couple more “extra” roles on The Following and a remake of a movie (that’s a story for another day). It may not have led to a HUGE acting career, but it’s a story I’ll have for the rest of my life. And the screenshot to prove it.

Starstruck

You know that feeling, when you meet a celebrity and you can’t contain yourself? Have you ever wondered if that happens to celebrities meeting their idols?

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Bill Hader met his hero, Dateline’s Keith Morrison. And his reaction is PRICELESS.

I’ve met my fair share of big name celebrities, but I have a feeling I would be extremely starstruck if I ever met The Rock.

Who is one celebrity you know you’d be starstruck for if you ever met them?

Welcome to the Opry Mr. Combs

I’m telling you right now, one of my favorite country artists right now is Luke Combs. He just released a set of songs from his new EP last week (which are absolutely incredible) and last night, just received one of the greatest honors in Country Music.

An invitation to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry. This is one of the coolest things you will see today.

Check out his reaction below and CONGRATS to Luke Combs…
