The creators of Stranger Things are being sued by a filmmaker who claims they ripped off his idea. Charlie Kessler accuses Matt and Ross Duffer of “misappropriation, unauthorized use and exploitation” of his 2012 short film Montauk. Kessler claims he pitched the Montauk idea to the brothers in 2014 and then they produced the Netflix series based on his “concepts without compensating or crediting [Kessler] for his concepts.”

Black Panther has passed Jurassic World to become the fourth-highest grossing movie at the North American box office with $652.5 million. The Marvel flick has also surpassed Frozen to become the 10th highest-grossing movie on the worldwide list with $1.28 billion.

Bill Cosby‘s defense team scored a big victory Tuesday when the judge ruled to allow testimony that his accuser talked about making money by framing a celebrity. Jurors will also get to hear how much the comedian paid Andrea Constand in their 2006 civil settlement. The rulings came before the second day of jury selection in Cosby’s sexual assault retrial. Monday, only one juror was selected. On Tuesday, another six were chosen. The jury will have 12 jurors and six alternates. Cosby is accused of drugging and molesting Constand in 2004.

Austin Powers star Verne Troyer has been hospitalized for a reported alcohol poisoning on Monday night. TMZ says police were sent to his home after a friend called 911 and described him as being extremely upset, drunk and suicidal. A message on his Instagram says, “Asking you to keep Verne in your thoughts and prayers. He’s getting the best care possible and is resting comfortably. Appreciate the support from family, friends, and fans around the world.” TMZ says the actor, who’s battled alcoholism for years, is being held for 72 hours for evaluation.

COLIN FARRELL has reportedly checked into rehab voluntarily at The Meadows in Wickenburg, AZ. Us Weekly says their source says “He put himself in there. It was voluntary. He was not using again, but needed to do a little reset and get things back in alignment to make sure he doesn’t use again.” Colin was originally in rehab in 2005 after filming “Miami Vice.”
