Alabama played back-to-back shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena over the July 4th weekend to kick off their 50th Anniversary tour and celebrate the venue’s reopening following COVID-19 shutdowns.

Surprise guests joined the iconic country music band during both shows. Tim McGraw took the stage on stage Saturday to sing “Lady Down on Love” with Randy Owen.

“It’s been 482 days since [there’s been] a show at Bridgestone Arena, and it’s Alabama. And I’m here,” McGraw said. “I’ve never seen Alabama live. I know every song off of every album. I could probably do the whole show. I’m getting to go onstage with them tonight. This is the first time I’ve ever seen them in concert and I get to go onstage.”

Jake Owen joined the band as well to sing “Lady Down on Love.”

He shared the moment on Instagram saying, “Dreams come true. Thanks to my favorite band of all time, Alabama, for inviting me out to sing one of my favorite songs of all time…not to mention in the heart of Nashville at a sold out Bridgestone Arena show…This is a video from my good pal @keithgcent … I was hoping someone captured this moment… What a memory.”
