TRACE ADKINS is heading to the small screen!

The country singer is joining the country music drama “Monarch”.  According to Deadline, the show is “a Texas-sized, multigenerational musical drama about America’s first family of country music, the Romans.”

Susan Sarandon plays “tough as nails Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrell Roman” and Trace plays her husband “Albie Roman, the reigning king of country music who’s known as the “Texas Truthteller.”

Anna Friel plays Albie and Dottie’s daughter Nicky, who will stop at nothing to protect the family’s legacy.

The show premieres January 30th on Fox.
