Mexican Pizza is back at Taco Bell and to celebrate, Dolly Parton will star in a musical about the fan-favorite menu item.
“I’m making #MexicanPizzaTheMusical with @TacoBell,” Parton shared in an Instagram post, along with a photo of the screenplay.
The satirical musical is “based on the true story of the Internet losing its mind” after it was removed from Taco Bell’s menu in late 2020.

Parton talked about her love of Taco Bell and the discontinued Mexican Pizza in an interview with Insider back in January and encouraged the chain to bring it back.

The musical is inspired by a viral video shared in March and will also feature an appearance by Doja Cat.

Taco Bell’s musical will be released at 8 p.m. ET on May 26, a week after Mexican pizza returns to its menu.
