Anyone who has been to a Buc-ee’s knows you can find pretty much anything you need at the southern travel center. But over the weekend, visitors got something they’ve never seen before—a free show from Keith Urban!
Hundreds of people turned out for the performance in Athens, about 100 miles (161 kilometers) south of Nashville. The impromptu concert took place outside a Buc-ee’s, the roadside chain famous for its barbecue.
“I came down to this Buc-ee’s about a month ago, and when I left, I thought, ‘It’d be kind of fun to do a show here,’” Urban told the crowd. He shared that his “caveman brain” thought it would be fun to set up a little stage for a small audience. “I swear to you, I thought maybe 100, 200 people,” Urban said in a video shared by WAFF 48 News.

In addition to performing for the crowd, Keith also slung some brisket at the popular chain known for its barbecue.
