In July 2023, 2,000 adults across the UK were surveyed online. Out of the 2,000, 8% of Millenials (born between 1981 and 1996) said they would call in sick to go to a show, but 19% of Gen Zers (born between 1997-2012) also admitted they would do the same thing.

Work doesn’t seem to be all that Gen Z would give up, 43% of those who admitted in the survey said they would put down alcohol for 6 months to snag some front row seats to their choice artist.

So, if you have wondered why your Gen Z colleagues keep coming up mysteriously “sick” on concert days, now you know!
