Carly Pearce is spilling the tea, Dierks is stirring up some extraterrestrial intrigue, and more country music news below!
Carly Pearce recently spoke candidly about her divorce on The Dumb Blonde Podcast with Bunnie Xo, sharing details she’s never publicly revealed before.
Carly admitted she knew early on that her marriage wasn’t right. “It wasn’t what I signed up for. It wasn’t the marriage I know I deserved. I knew that very quickly… we were only married for eight months, but plenty happened to make it clear this just wasn’t a marriage.”
While she described the experience as painful, Carly says she’s grateful because it taught her self-worth. She revealed that the COVID lockdown gave her space to face the reality of her situation instead of prolonging it: “I think the best thing that ever happened to me was COVID, because it allowed me to deal with that… I think I probably would have stayed in it longer if I could have avoided it.”
Carly admitted to feeling embarrassed and ashamed, but those emotions ultimately fueled her music. She hinted that “What He Didn’t Do” was inspired by her marriage struggles, and confirmed that her 29: Written in Stone album was shaped entirely by the end of the relationship. “It wasn’t just written out of thin air… it wasn’t good. It wasn’t good.”
Rumors of infidelity surrounded the divorce, and Carly has been publicly linked to tension with Michael Ray’s ex-girlfriend, Tyler Tritt—the daughter of country star Travis Tritt. Earlier this year, Carly looked Tyler “dead in the eyes” while singing “Jolene” at the Opry 100 celebration.
Aw don’t you worry, I looked right at her 😇

Carly summed up her feelings bluntly: “Let’s just say I’m not a fan of her. I’m not a fan of him. I could have done so much more than I did.”

Did you know Dierks Bentley is a part-time UFO investigator?
He recently shared a late-night sighting on Instagram that left him scratching his head.
In the clip, a glowing light hovers high in the sky before fading into darkness.
Dierks explained that he notices this same thing often when flying cross-country. According to him, it isn’t a meteor, Starlink satellites, or anything else he can easily explain.
Here’s what he wrote: “I see this all the time . . . they light up, move around for a bit, and then go dark. They appear to be at about 70,000 feet, but they stay in the exact same spot even as you fly across the entire country.”
Fans quickly filled the comments with their theories. One woman even said her husband, an airline pilot, has seen the same lights.
Dierks responded, adding that veteran pilots often talk about the phenomenon while in the air—but so far, there’s never been an official explanation.
