Luke Combs has officially passed Garth Brooks to become the most RIAA-certified country artist in history.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Luke now holds 168 million certified units from sales and streams, surpassing Garth’s long-standing total of 162.5 million.
That milestone makes Luke not only country music’s all-time leader but also one of the most successful artists across all genres—he’s currently ranked ninth overall.
Luke admitted the news left him in disbelief. “When my team first told me about this, my initial reaction was, ‘Are you sure? There’s no way.’ I’m super humbled by the fans’ belief in me and support of my music. This achievement is more so theirs than it is mine.”
It’s a stunning rise, considering Luke earned his first gold plaque just eight years ago. Now, he’s already the highest-selling country artist of all time. Incredible.

Lainey Wilson just gave fans another reason to love her — she posted a video doing a full-on Britney Spears impression, and it was uncanny. From the voice to the facial expressions, Lainey had everyone cracking up, and people are saying she could easily take this act on the road. And get this — it’s not her first rodeo when it comes to impressions.
Before she was topping country charts, Lainey used to perform as Hannah Montana at birthday parties to make ends meet. So, honestly, we might need to add “professional impersonator” to her résumé at this point.
