If you’ve ever seen a sleek black panther and thought, “I never needed anything more,” then you’re going to fall head over paws for August, a five-month-old black cat named after the Taylor Swift song.
August is up for adoption at The Cat Corner in Hampton, and this little guy is pure joy. He purred nonstop during his studio visit, soaking up every bit of attention and affection. He’s friendly, social, and loves other cats. His sister, Taylor, is also up for adoption, making them the perfect pair for Swifties!

Don’t let August slip away — give this sweet boy his happy ending “for the hope of it all.” 💛

If your home isn’t ready for a new cat right now, The Cat Corner needs foster families! Fostering gives cats like August a safe and cozy place to stay while opening up space in the rescue for others in need.
Fostering not only benefits cats and kittens, it provides cat lovers with an opportunity to give back and help cats in the best way they can. Some volunteers can’t commit to owning a cat 365 days a year, others foster because they can’t guarantee that they will lead a cat-friendly lifestyle for the life span of a pet cat, others prefer doing something practical rather than donating money to the charity; all love cats and do it for the joy it brings them every day!
