Kenny Chesney became the 158th member of the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday alongside June Carter Cash and producer Tony Brown. Chesney was inducted into the Modern Era category.
Friends Eric Church, Megan Moroney, and Kelsea Ballerini performed Chesney’s songs ahead of his induction.
Kenny shared on Instagram, “Being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame last night was the proudest moment of my life. I am humbled and beyond grateful. The love I felt in the room was overwhelming.”

Peyton Manning took to social media to congratulate Kenny Chesney on his Country Music Hall of Fame induction this past Sunday in Nashville. Peyton even shared some old-school throwback photos of the two back at the University of Tennessee, and fans can’t get enough.
It’s such a cool full-circle moment to see two legends who started out on the same campus, both becoming icons in their own fields and still cheering each other on all these years later.
Big congrats to Kenny Chesney.
