Meet Thistle, our Furry Friday pet of the week at Chesapeake Animal Services.
Thistle is about 6 years old and has quickly become a favorite among staff and volunteers. During her last Snout and About field trip, her adventure buddies reported back that she is “THE PERFECT DOG.”
Don’t let her RBF (resting bully face) fool you…she has such a sweet and gentle disposition; she would be a great fit in any home. Thistle is a great leash walker. She’s very social and likes to say hi to everyone she meets. Thistle will sit for treats, but is kind of picky about which treats she likes. Don’t be offended if she doesn’t take what you offer!! She has hypothyrodism which is easily treated with an inexpensive medication.
Thistle doesn’t show a lot of interest in toys; she’s far more interested in meeting new people or snuggling up for pets and kisses. She shows behaviors that indicate she is house-trained and would get along with other dogs. Thistle is a calm pup, full of affection, and would be a great fit in any home.
Come visit Chesapeake Animal Services to meet her today!
