Furry Friday is brought to you by Fusion Home Services and Lucky One Lemonade.
Duke was transferred to Chesapeake Humane Society after PETA found him living in a home with 14 other dogs. As you can imagine, life in a chaotic environment followed by the noise and uncertainty of a shelter has left Duke feeling a little overwhelmed. He is nervous right now, but he starts to open up with a soft touch and a gentle voice.
After a few minutes in the room with him, he got brave enough to walk around and gently take a few treats out of my hand before curling up in my lap.
Duke would thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can decompress, settle into a routine, and soak up every single cuddle he has been missing out on.
Stop by this weekend to meet Duke, and drop off a donation for the pet pantry. Chesapeake Humane Society’s pet pantry is on a mission: 100 bags of pet food in 100 days. This pantry helps ensure that pets in the community stay fed and in their loving homes.
Bring a bag of dog or cat food, meet the incredible animals in their care, and maybe — just maybe — come home with a new best friend named Duke.
