Meet Hippo, our pet of the week at Norfolk Animal Care Center! Hippo was found as a stray and is about 4 years old. He is the August Shelter Star, which means his adoption is fully funded by Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center.
Hippo gets along well with most dogs and calm cats, but if a nervous cat runs from him, he thinks it’s time to chase. He’s smart, highly motivated, good with kids, and house-trained.
Hippo LOVES to be close to humans! He also enjoys car rides, treats, leisurely walks, and a good run. He is all about a comfy bed and doesn’t mind sharing the covers. And because he is a Shelter Star after all…he loves a spa day.
