You’ve Been Taco’ing Wrong This Entire Time!

Just in time for Taco Tuesday!

Yup, I hate to tell you this, but you’ve been taco’ing wrong this entire time. Here’s how I’ve been constructing my tacos.

First, you put the meat into the shell.

Second, you put your cheese on after the meat. That’s just the way it goes, folks. If you say you don’t follow steps 1 and 2, I may think you’re lying to me.

Third, you put your lettuce, tomato, and other garnishes. I would also include sour cream, salsa, avocado, etc…

Does this look familiar? If so, you’ve been doing it wrong this entire time.

Here’s the correct way to taco. According to a guy on Reddit who probably has way too much time on his hands, you can improve your meal by simply moving the order around slightly. The only suggestion he has, which is a good one, is to drop the cheese in the taco shell before anything else. The idea is to allow the cheese to melt and act as a form of food glue keeping the weakest part of the tortilla together for that first crunchy bite.

You can also throw your taco shells into the oven for more cheesy taco deliciousness.
