Saddened by the loss of two well known and very loved people who kept a smile on the outside, but hid their deep sadness and loneliness.

It’s easy for some to dismiss others because of their social status, but this is just further proof that money and celebrity status do not buy happiness.  Anyone…and I mean anyone can be affected by depression.  ANYONE.

My heart breaks.  And the loss of these two beloved people have definitely brought more awareness to the illness.  There is no shame in reaching out and talking to someone.  We need to take the negative stigma off of those who are suffering and help give them the strength to get help.  We need to encourage them, love them, listen to them.  We can do our part by being more understanding and being prepared to help them take the first step.  If someone you love is considering suicide, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255)
