Martina McBride and Husband Sued Over Treatment of Interns: The filing alleges that Martina and John McBride subjected their unpaid interns to unfair labor practices that included tearing down studio equipment, picking up groceries and takeout food, and cleaning bathrooms. According to the suit, one intern was even sent to the McBrides’ home with a gun to check for a possible intruder, even though that intern had no experience with firearms.

The National Enquirer reports the newly-single actress splurged on lip fillers, breast implants and a hot, new wardrobe since the split. The Roseanne spinoff is one step closer to becoming a reality. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Roseanne Barr has agreed in principle to walk away from the characters she helped create in order to allow Roseanne’s cast and crew to pursue a spinoff in the wake of the show’s May cancellation due to her racist tweets.” The sticking point is what the comedian will receive in compensation. ABC and producer Carsey-Werner insist that she not “participate financially” in the spinoff, which will most likely focus on Sara Gilbert‘s character. John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf are said to be “tentatively” on board for the new series.
MATT “GUITAR” MURPHY, best known for his work with THE BLUES BROTHERS on stage and in the movie, has died. RollingStone.com says he passed away on Friday. He was 88 years old. Matt played himself in “The Blues Brothers” film, and got to do a scene with ARETHA FRANKLIN as his wife.
