Michael Jordan made two hefty donations of $1 million — one to the American Red Cross and the other to the Foundation For The Carolinas’ Hurricane Florence Response Fund.

Man arrested and charged with stalking Taylor Swift:  A man accused of stalking Taylor Swift is in federal custody. The 26-year-old, from Austin, Texas, has been arrested and charged with “interstate stalking” and “sending interstate communications with the intent to threaten.” In total, at least 40 letters and emails were sent, and they were becoming “increasingly violent and sexual in nature.”

Sandra Bullock‘s father, John Bullock, has passed away at age 93. The Oscar winner does not use social media, but her boyfriend, Bryan Randall, shared the news on Instagram, saying that John died “surrounded by family and friends… As a father, grandfather and World War 2 veteran, we #thankyouforyourservice. PS: Hey God, we’re sending you a live one!” Sandra’s mother, opera singer Helga Meyer, died in 2000.
