Kelsea Ballerini Introduces Her Own Barbie Doll!

Barbie is celebrating her 60th Anniversary this year, and to help celebrate International Women’s Day last week, Barbie created a line of dolls that honor women they have deemed role models.

Some of the women being honored with a Barbie are Blackish Actress – Yara Shahidi, Tennis player – Naomi Osaka, Kristina Vogel – the Olympic gold medal cyclist who was paralyzed after severing her spinal cord in a serious crash in June 2018, and  – Kelsea Ballerini!

Kelsea told E! News, “I’ve also tried to put female empowerment into every song I write and especially into every single I put out. I really wanted it to be a big part of my journey and to be able to partner with Barbie and use these few days to really empower these young girls.”

The new Barbie’s look is based on her “Miss Me More” music video, which takes place in a boxing ring and even has little boxing gloves!

“The song is all about fighting for yourself after a relationship, but the more that I’ve kind of grown with the song, I made this video to be fighting against yourself, for yourself. No matter what chapter of life you are in, you’re always up against yourself more than anything else,” she told E! News.

Kelsea also opened up to E! News about her Grand Ol Opry news, marriage and the Bachelor. Read more here
