Firefighter Carries Woman With Cancer at Brad Paisley Show

A volunteer firefighter in Texas has gone viral for an incredible act of kindness that had nothing to do with fighting fires.

Thomas Harwell was at Brad Paisley’s concert in Houston with his wife, Shayla, when he noticed an elderly woman carefully walking down the steps and struggling to get to her seat.

So Thomas stood up, walked over to her and helped her to her seat. But he wasn’t done.

After the concert ended, Thomas noticed the woman was too tired to make the trek back up the stairs to the exit, so he swooped her up into his arms and carried her up the steps.

Shayla shared a photo on Facebook, which has gone viral.

Brad saw the story after it went viral and wrote, “Wow, Houston, you continue to be the classiest place. I’m floored. God bless you Thomas Harwell. Lemme buy you a beer someday. #firstresponders”

That wasn’t the only cool moment for Brad in Houston- he also surprised folks sipping their coffee at a local coffee shop when he popped in for an impromptu performance

He is good friends with the owner of Blue Door Coffee Company and promised his buddy he would play there one day so when his show rolled into to town it was the perfect time. He brought along his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley, children, and parents and ended up singing for over an hour!

Brad shared the story on Instagram saying, “Some friends of mine own the @bluedoorcoffeecompany in Houston and it’s GREAT! And let’s just say I lost a bet…#coffeehousemusic #lastfridaynight”

and his wife trolled him in the comments
