My Review Of “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.” – Cash

My review of “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.”

I find it a big relief that Zac Efron has grown up to be a decent dramatic actor. I didn’t think he had it in him, to be perfectly honest. Usually, when you start out working at Disney, you end up with a ton of problems and wind up going to rehab. Unless you’re Justin Timberlake. In that case, you can do anything and probably be really good at it.

Zac Efron’s transition from High School Musical to portraying one of the most gruesome serial killers of all time was magical! His charm and good looks were perfect for displaying how conniving Ted Bundy really was. He was a celebrity serial killer. Women thought he was cool, attractive, and intelligent. All the guys wanted to hang with him and all the ladies wanted to be with him. Zac Efron was perfect for this role!

Everything in life is about different camera lenses. I thought it was interesting how they told the story through the eyes of his then-girlfriend, Liz Kendall played by Lily Collins. She, much like other women who are with psychopaths, refused to believe that Ted was capable of doing horrible things. He had her wrapped around her finger, to the point that it literally ruined her life. She turned into a drunk and had a hard time balancing life away from Ted Bundy. Even when he was long gone locked up in Florida after murdering a couple of sorority girls, there was poor Liz, hoping that one day the two would reunite and live happily ever after.

What was it about Liz that prevented Ted Bundy from doing terrible things to her as he did with so many other women? We may have to wait for the official Ted Bundy biopic.

Haley Joel Osment, you know, the kid who can see dead people in, “The Sixth Sense”, plays Liz’s co-worker and shoulder to cry on, Jerry, who’s left to help pick up the pieces after Ted’s fate is sealed in a Florida courtroom. John Malkovich plays Judge Edward D. Cowart, the man responsible for Bundy’s ultimate fate. That relationship between Judge Edward and Ted was interesting as well.

The whole story was insane. Lots of first times that I’m sure a lot of people are not familiar with. For example, the Ted Bundy case was the first case to be broadcast on live television. Fortunately, I wasn’t alive in the 1970s when the whole ordeal was going down, but the filmmakers and crew did a great job recreating the panic and horror that was Ted Bundy’s murderous rampage.

In between your superhero movies, check this one out. I think you’ll find it rather enjoyable!

The resemblance is striking!
