C’mon, let’s face it. There hasn’t been anybody, nor will there ever be anyone ever again, that’s quite like SNL alum and Hollywood superstar, Chris Farley. He’s by far my favorite SNL alum member of all time and I often think about how my life has been cheated since he’s been gone.
A good friend of mine remembers when he saw Chris Farley at a Planet Hollywood opening in Vegas back in either 1996 or 1997. By the way, whatever happened to Planet Hollywood? That place was awesome!
I suppose in life there’s no greater tribute to another person who’s made an impact to continue their legacy more than 20 years after their passing. I mean, let’s face it, he’s one of comedy’s greatest pupils and he hadn’t even made it into his prime.
Say what you will about millennials and generation x’ers, none of my parents had awesome ideas to dress up like Chris Farley or any other pop culture icon. Instead, we got plastic costumes and masks that you could usually pick up at the grocery store. Yeah, grocery store costumes. I wonder, who could my mom have dressed me up as when I was a youngster? How about, Dice Clay or Kinnison? That would have been awesome!
Not as awesome as this. Stand back, stand back and make some room for the greatest Halloween costume of 2019. I present to you, the Chris Farley, “Fat Guy in a Little Coat” costume. The scene is from Chris Farley and David Spade’s 1995 hit, “Tommy Boy.”
