Nonprofits never get the credit they deserve. People working tirelessly to make sure their fellow brothers and sisters have the resources they need to survive. I tip my hat to all of those making a difference.
A nonprofit group called ‘Mental Health America’ has done something brilliant! They’ve set up a program where you can send motivational and inspirational text messages to complete strangers for a nice pick-me-up.
The nonprofit, which has been running for 100 years, said it’s really easy to join. It’s called, ‘Text for Humanity’ and it only takes around a minute to join. If you would like to try it out, text the word “JOIN” to 37352 and you’ll be asked to provide your first name, the country you’re from, and a short, uplifting message that’s no more than 160 characters.
So far, over 10,000 texts have been sent out. Whatdya waitin’ for? Get to texting!
