Carly Pearce and Michael Ray have announced that they are ending their marriage.
Just eight months after they said I do, Carly’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE that she filed for divorce on Friday.
“This was a hard decision. It wasn’t something she wanted to have to do,” a source close to Pearce tells PEOPLE. “This hasn’t been a quarantine realization — it was a last resort.”
Carly and Michael have been noticeably absent in each other’s posts for a few weeks.
