Furry Friday: Adelaide is a 5-year-old walker hound in search of a family to call her own!
She is blind in one eye; however, it does not slow this girl down one bit! Adelaide is sweet, joyful, devoted, and playful! Shelter life is starting to stress her out and she is becoming more timid and nervous the longer she is at the shelter.
Adelaide does great with other dogs in an outdoor setting; however, she has been reactive to other dogs within a home setting. For this reason, we have been working to place her in a home where she is the only pet.
If there is an adapter that has dogs in the home, we do have certified trainers at the shelter available that could possibly assist in seeing if adoption would be a possibility since she does so well with dogs outside.
Adalaide will be featured on a special beer can release this weekend at Tradition Brewing Company. $1 from every pack and pint sale will be donated to the Animal Aid Society.
Tradition Brewing Company has been brewed up the “Chasin’ Tail Pale Ale.” This specialty brew will feature four Animal Aid Society dogs that are available for adoption on the packaging with a portion of the proceeds being donated to Animal Aid Society.
Animal Aid Society invites you to meet Adelaide daily from 9 AM – 12 PM by appointment. To schedule an appointment please call 757-757-206-2873
Animal Aid Society is committed to finding the best fit for each of our dogs. For this reason, we will accept multiple applications for a dog. In the case of multiple applications, we will select the applicant that is the best fit based on the needs of the dog.
