Miranda Lambert Launches Fund to Help Musicians Pays Vet Bills During Coronavirus Pandemic

MIRANDA LAMBERT has teamed up with the Waggle Foundation to create a relief fund to help pet owners in the music industry pay their vet bills during COVID-19.  With concerts and recording at a standstill, it’s tough to pay the regular bills, let alone medical needs for pets.

Miranda says she was inspired to launch the MuttNationFund after her backup singer and close friend (and Voice alum) Gwen Sebastian’s dog Earl was diagnosed with a rare liver disorder — a condition that brought with it several hospital stays and relapses, and medical treatments he’ll need for the rest of his life.

“It was such an unexpected major expense at an already tough time,” Lambert, 36, said in a press release. “So, it got me thinking that there must be a lot more people whose careers in the music industry have been on pause due to lack of live performance opportunities, and who are struggling with their pets’ vet bills.”

She continued: “Because music and mutts are my two passions, I knew I had to do something and thought that starting this fund would help both the music community that’s been so supportive of me, and their pets.”

Anyone in the music industry can apply.  Find out more at WaggleFoundation.org.
