Jimmie Allen Reflects On The Times He Spent With Charley Pride. ~ CASH {Watch}

I can’t begin to imagine how hard it was for Charley Pride to sing country music in the ’60s and ’70s. But he did, and thank god for that. Now, he’s gone and all we have is his music.

Charley Pride passed away on Saturday due to complications from COVID-19. Charley was 86-years-old.

Charley Pride had 29 number ones from 1967-1988, plus 27 top 10 country albums. Charley was named CMA entertainer of the year in 1971 and he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000. RIP, Charley Pride.
