I know you have a ton of questions and unfortunately, I don’t have any answers. Why in the world would a baseball card be worth $5.2 million. Mickey Mantle was before his time, I get it, but $5.2 million, why?
The guy who has $5.2 million to spend on baseball cards is, Rob Gough. Rob is an actor and an entrepreneur and a crazed sports memorabilia fan. The $5.2 million, set the record for the most expensive trading car ever. The previous record came from a Mike Trout card that sold for $3.94 million. Mike Trout currently plays for the Anaheim Angels.
Now, try to imagine how much the card would have sold for it was a 9.5 or a 10 grade. It would have sold for twice that much! Better go check the attic for that old shoebox full of baseball cards from your childhood. You could be sitting on a gold mine. For the full story, click here.
