How Many of These Past Country Star Super Bowl Performances Do You Remember? {WATCH}

Super Bowl LV is this Sunday and Eric Church will sing the National Anthem alongside Jazmine Sullivan.

Do you remember some of the biggest country stars in the Super Bowl over the years?

The late Charley Pride was the first country artist to perform the national anthem before a Super Bowl, in 1974. Pride was also the first-ever solo artist to sing the anthem at a Super Bowl. In addition to “The Star-Spangled Banner,” he also sang “America The Beautiful.”

In 1994, Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, The Judds, and Travis Tritt were the first country artist to perform at halftime.

In 2003, Shania Twain, No Doubt and Sting provided the halftime entertainment.

In 1993, Garth Brooks sang it at the game, but it almost didn’t happen.

Garth said he’d do the anthem if his video for “We Shall Be Free” was shown during the game. Before game time, producers reviewed the clip and decided it was too controversial. Garth left the stadium until his demand was met.

Garth and producers talked it out, he sang the Anthem, and the video was aired.

In 2000, Faith Hill’s performance was flawless.

Who can forget Carrie Underwood’s powerful rendition in 2010?

in 2012, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert sang “America The Beautiful.”

and Luke Bryan got high marks for his National Anthem performance in 2017.

Can’t wait to watch Eric and Jazmine!
