This is crazy!
I’ve seen some giant double wide and triple wide homes being moved down the interstate, but this, this is nuts! I know this isn’t the first time this has happened, but I can only imagine the cost associated with moving an entire house to another lot. Wouldn’t it be cheaper just to buy another house?
The challenges of moving a house, let alone a Victorian-style home, through the streets of San Francisco must have required some serious thought and planning. Thankfully, the 139-year-old house made it to its destination fully intact. Come to find out, the move cost $400,000. So, yeah, not enough to buy a home in San Francisco. Moving the house was cheaper.
