Tim McGraw Says it’s ‘Beautiful and Sad’ Watching His Three Daughters Grow Up

Tim McGraw opened up to actor Garret Hedlund in a new interview with Leo Edit.  Tim, who is the godfather to Garrett’s son, gave the new dad advice on fatherhood.

Speaking about his daughters Grace, 23, Maggie Elizabeth, 22, and Audrey Caroline, 19 Tim said, “They were just babies. Our youngest is 19 and living in New York City now, I mean, it’s crazy. It goes by so fast.”

Tim said watching them grow up is “a beautiful thing, but it’s a sad thing at the same time. “You find yourself reflecting and looking back at pictures and thinking, ‘Oh my gosh, I remember that time, I remember when they looked like that,'”

He added, “…Everything good in my life has come from country music. I would have never met my wife if I had not been in this business and touring and making music. I wouldn’t have had these three beautiful head-strong, strong-willed, smart, self confident daughters that we have…they have made me such a better man. They made me see things in a different way. They taught me so much more about life, about how to be a man.”

Tim shared a photo of his daughters with Faith on International Women’s Day writing, “For all the women in my life who are the heart and soul of all I do……And the backbone”
