Lauren Alaina Tests Positive for COVID-19: “I am Quarantining and Trying to Get Better!”

Lauren Alaina had to cancel an appearance yesterday (March 20) after testing positive for COVID-19, she announced Saturday on her social media pages.

“I am so sad to say I will not be at the acoustic show in Lexington, Kentucky tonight. I tested positive for COVID yesterday. I am quarantining and trying to get better!” the country singer posted on her social media pages.

She was slated to perform an acoustic concert at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY alongside Travis Denning, Jon Pardi, Jordan Davis and Priscilla Block. On Saturday Night, she took to her Instagram Stories to update her fans about her symptoms.

“I am resting up and trying to feel a bit better,” Alaina continues, “Some people have it way worse than me, so I just have a little bit of shortness of breath, a really bad headache, no taste or smell, pretty bad congestion and I feel pretty tired.”

The event offered was filled to 15 percent of Rupp Arena’s capacity, and required attendees to wear a face mask at all times, and follow all COVID-19 protocols.

Wishing Lauren a quick and safe recovery!
