The ACM Awards are Sunday and the Academy of Country Music has handed out a few early winners, including Music Video of the Year for Kane Brown, New Male Vocalist of the Year to Jimmie Allen and New Female Vocalist of the Year to Gabby Barrett.
Is this even real life? This song continues to show me that all of my country music dreams are coming true. Thank you @acmawards @leebrice & all of YOUU for making “I Hope You’re Happy Now” this year’s Music Event of the Year! Can’t wait to perform it Sunday night ♥️🥲 #ACMAwards pic.twitter.com/Tj7eSLlZD4

Carly Pearce and Lee Brice can now add their names to that list. They are taking home the 2021 ACM Music Event of the Year trophy.
Carly and Lee were nominated along with “Be a Light” by Thomas Rhett and friends, “Does to Me” by Luke Combs with Eric Church, “Nobody But You” by Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, and “One Too Many” by Keith Urban and Pink.
I'm over the moon on winning this award but especially happy for @carlypearce. This is her story, her song and I am honored to be a part of it. pic.twitter.com/KnL9rpplDa
