American Idol front runner Wyatt Pike abruptly dropped out of the competition recently and rumors started to swirl as to why.
A thread of since-deleted tweets from an American Idol fan Twitter account claimed that he was suspended from the show after an altercation with Luke Bryan. It alleged that the real reason Luke had to sit out an episode of the show was that he was in the hospital from his injuries. In reality, Luke received a positive COVID-19 test.
Screenshots of the tweets ended up on TikTok and Caroline, Luke’s wife, set the record straight.
According to Hello magazine, she commented: “Trust me, he has Covid. I kinda wish there was a fight. I’m sick of taking care of kids alone and sanitizing. I’m peeing Lysol!”
Wyatt told fans in an Instagram post that he dropped due to “personal reasons” but did not elaborate.
