Trisha Yearwood Talks About Lingering COVID-19 Symptoms and How Garth Took Care of Her {WATCH}

Trisha Yearwood opened up about her experience with COVID-19 on The Kelly Clarkson Show.  She said that 8 weeks later she still has not regained her taste and smell.  Although she can tell by texture if something is spicy, that’s about it. It’s particularly difficult for Trisha being a cookbook author and host of her own Food Network Show.  She told Kelly,  “So now when I cook, I just ask Garth, ‘Tell me if it needs more salt and pepper,'”

In fact, Trisha said Garth was a wonderful caretaker.  “He was really wonderful … He was really great.” So much so that he refused to quarantine away from her. “I’m like, ‘You have to get away from me. You have to quarantine in another room … I cannot give Garth Brooks COVID.'” Trisha told Kelly. “And he never did [contract it]. And [when] he had the vaccine, he didn’t have any [side effects] — not even a sore arm.”

Trisha joked Garth is clearly “an alien, and I think we’ve proved this.”

Kelly also asked Trisha about her no-makeup selfie and new pet product line.
