70-Pound Disabled Tortoise Able to Move Again Thanks to Custom Wheelchair {VIDEO}

Feel Good Story of the Day!

An 11-year-old tortoise named George Bailey is walking on all four legs for the first time in his life!

The tortoise was born with a metabolic bone disease that prevented his back legs from fully developing.  He spent the first 11 years of his life dragging himself around until help arrived in the form of a custom wheelchair.

After being rescued from an exotic animal facility in Knoxville, Tennessee, Walkin’ Pets, a pet mobility company based out of New Hampshire got to work creating the specialized device.

George Bailey will continue to grow over his approximate 100-year life span so, with that in mind, Walkin’ Pets created an adjustable wheelchair large enough and sturdy enough to help him walk around comfortably.

Watch him go!
