Following a nearly two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Norfolk Festevents, in partnership with the City of Norfolk, has unveiled its 2021 Season of Events!

Set to take place at both Town Point Park, Ocean View Beach Park, and TowneBank Fountain Park, the season will include 4th of July Fireworks, The Norfolk Waterfront Jazz Festival, The Virginia Children’s Festival, and more.

The official 2021 Season of Events kicks off in grand fashion with a pair of Fourth of July fireworks displays: the Shore Thing Independence Day Celebration at Ocean View Beach Park (July 2) and the Fourth of July Great American Picnic presented by Southern Auto Group at Town Point Park (July 4).

The Norfolk Latino Music & Food Festival (July 24) and the Virginia Symphony Orchestra Concert in the Park presented by TowneBank in partnership with the Patricia & Douglas Perry Foundation (July 25) headline events in Downtown Norfolk in late July.

The Norfolk Waterfront Jazz Festival (August 20 & 21) presented by Optima Health, Hampton Roads’ longest-running outdoor jazz festival, boasts a star-studded lineup in 2021 featuring the David Sanborn Electric Band, Boney James, Spyro Gyra, the True Legends of Jazz, and many more. In September, the debut is slated for the NashFest Music & Food Festival (September 18), a one-day festival celebrating the iconic culture and cuisine of Nashville, including national and local recording artists, mouth-watering hot chicken, barbecue, line dancing, craft beer and whiskey tastings, interactive experiences, and much more for what promises to be one of Hampton Roads’ hottest new summer events.

The Virginia Children’s Festival (October 2) presented by Optima Health and the Fall Town Point Virginia Wine Festival (October 16 & 17) headline the month of October. Tickets for both events are now on sale and can be purchased at bit.ly/FesteventsTix.

The Holiday Yule Log Bonfire & Christmas Marketplace (December 4) rounds out the 2021 Season of Events at Town Point Park.

At Ocean View Beach Park, the TGOV series returns with themed entertainment every Friday evening in July and August, while the Big Bands on the Bay series begins on Sunday, June 20, and continues every Sunday through Labor Day weekend.

TOWNEBANK FOUNTAIN PARK 2021 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

TowneBank Fountain Park, located alongside Town Point Park and Waterside Marina, offers daily, family-oriented activities during the summer months. Daily operations, aside from Mondays (open on Monday, July 5th, and Monday, September 6th), at TowneBank Fountain Park begin on Friday, July 2, and continue until early September.

Norfolk Festevents is dedicated to providing the safest guest experience and will continue to work closely with the state health department and adheres to the Norfolk Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 guidelines.
