An anonymous country music singer left a Waffle House waitress a $1,000 tip for the best reason.
According to CBS 17, a Greensboro, North Carolina, Waffle House waitress, Shirell “Honey” Lackey, was not only working a double shift, she was also was taking care of her daughter in the restaurant while taking care of customers.
The anonymous country singer placed a pickup order and somebody from the crew picked it up, leaving a $50 tip. But when the crew member got back to the bus and told the artist about Honey, he came back in and dropped an extra $1,000 dollars on top of it.
He also gave her two concert tickets, as well as sent toys and clothes to her home.
“It feels good to be recognized. I mean, I don’t do it to be recognized, I do it because Bella is everything — but it’s nice to be recognized for doing the things we do as mothers,” Lackey said.
