Reba McEntire and her boyfriend, Rex Linn, have both recovered after testing positive for COVID-19.
“Stay home. Just stay safe. Stay healthy. It’s not fun to get this,” McEntire said during a livestream on TikTok, “I did get it. Rex [Linn] and I got it and it’s not fun. You don’t feel good. We were both vaccinated and we still got it, so stay safe, stay home, and be protected the best you can.”
Reba gave fans a peak inside her home and answered fans’ questions during the livestream. She said, “I have no idea what plans for next year are. You know, the COVID thing has really hit hard and spikes are going everywhere right now…and it’s all over the country…so we don’t have an idea. We have plans right now to go back on tour in January, February and March. We have plans with being with Brooks & Dunn at Caesars in December, the first two weeks, almost three weeks of December, but we don’t know if that’s going to go,” the superstar said. “We’re just gonna move forward, keep prayin’ that everybody stays safe and healthy, and wear your mask and just be safe.”
According the CDC, “Vaccine breakthrough cases are expected. COVID-19 vaccines are effective and are a critical tool to bring the pandemic under control.”
Reba recently postponed her mother’s memorial service due to the rise in COVID-19 cases.
Reba’s mom passed away on March 14, 2020, at the age of 93, and the country star says it’s with “heavy hearts” that the family has chosen to postpone a service that was planned for Sunday (Aug. 8).
“If you knew Mama, you know she would scold us to pieces for putting on a memorial on her behalf with so many lives in danger of Covid exposure,. We feel that it’s not a good idea to continue with the plans due to the increase of Covid cases in Atoka County.”
