Jimmie Allen just scored a #1 hit for his collaboration with Brad Paisley “Freedom Was a Highway” and now the country singer is teaming up with Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter on a love song.

“Easy” was co-written by Carter and Allen and the Backstreet Boy told Billboard, “I grew up listening to all kinds of music, including country music. With the direction it’s heading, and how it’s crossing borders and boundaries, Jimmie was one person who I was listening to and I love his music.”

The singers connected through a mutual friend and immediately bonded over the mutual love of their families.  Carter said he had the idea for “Easy” and the two set out to write it together. 

Carter told Country Now, “It’s something that I can dedicate to my children and my wife and it’s something that maybe they can look back on too when they get older and listen to and say like, ‘oh, you know, daddy wrote that for us.’”
