Mufasa is Norfolk SPCA’s Longest Resident and Needs Your Help to Find a Home

Stephanie went to visit Norfolk SPCA this week for Furry Friday and met Mufasa who is up for adoption.

This 6 1/2 year old pitbull is their longest resident and needs your help to find a home.

He is a sweet boy who gets along great with people and kids.  He does need to be the only pet in the home, but he is very self-sufficient.  He loves to toss his toys around in the yard on his own and even at 6, he is full of energy.

He is a laid-back guy though and can easily chill by himself, especially if he has a kong treat filled with peanut butter to keep him happy.

Mufasa is a cuddly guy who loves to play tug of war and is already potty trained.  He was previously adopted and returned to the shelter after a year when his owner felt they didn’t have enough time for him.  Mufasa is ready to find his forever home now.

This month, Norfolk SPCA is offering $20 off any pitbull adoption through their “Change Your Luck” promotion, but as their longest resident, Mufasa’s adoption fee is waived!

NORFOLK SPCA ADOPTION CENTER is located at 916 Ballentine Boulevard, Norfolk, VA 23504.  Their hours are Mon, Wed – Sun: 1pm–4:30pm
Tues: Closed for animal enrichment and staff training.

Before leaving the shelter, all animals are:

  • Spayed or neutered

  • Current on vaccinations

  • Microchipped

The Norfolk SPCA adoption program ensures that every healthy, adoptable animal finds a loving home.
