Jason Aldean Weighs in on Eric Church’s Concert Cancellation

Some Eric Church fans were not happy when “The Chief” announced that he was canceling his concert this Saturday in San Antonio to attend the Final Four basketball game instead.  Eric is a life-long UNC fan and admitted this was the “most selfish” thing he’s ever done and asked fans to let him “have this moment with my family and sports community.

Jason Aldean was recently on E! News’ Daily Pop where he was asked whether he would ever cancel a show for a basketball game.

He replied, “This is a tricky question because Eric is a friend of mine. I’m a diehard Georgia Bulldogs fan, and Atlanta Braves, so I understand somewhat where he’s coming from.”

“I don’t know that I could cancel a show to make it to a game,” he continued. “I feel like people are buying a ticket to see your show, you kinda have to hold up your end of the deal on that.  But I know Eric’s a huge basketball, Carolina fan. And I don’t want to dive into that too much, but I don’t think I would feel good if I did that so I don’t know if I could pull it off.”

Jason also talked about his Grammy nomination with Carrie Underwood for “If I Didn’t Love You” and his upcoming album, Macon, Georgia, out on April 22.
