I went out to Norfolk Animal Care Center this week to meet a newborn Guinea Pig!

Dunk-a-roo was born at NACC 4 weeks ago. Her momma, Oreo, is up for adoption too. Guinea pigs are social pets and they would love to be adopted as a pair.

These little pets can be shy but since Dunk-a-roo is so young, she will learn to be socialized quickly. The adoption is just $15 per guinea pig and NACC requires that you have proper housing to keep them safe.

Norfolk Animal Care is FULL of dogs and needs the community’s help. If you can’t adopt, take a dog out of the shelter for the day with a “NACC Pack Adventure.” Spend the day with a shelter dog at the beach, park, or maybe take them for some doggie ice cream.
