Blake Shelton Spends Time With Wounded Veteran on 4th of July

Blake Shelton had a lot to celebrate this 4th of July weekend.

The country star shared a sweet tribute to his wife Gwen Stefani on their 1-year anniversary.

The country superstar was spending some time on the water during the holiday weekend when he heard that a disabled veteran was in a boat near him and he took the time to come over and say hi.

In a post shared on Facebook, motivational speaker Jason Morgan wrote, “Great hanging out with Blake Shelton on our boat. Happy Independence Day. We were at the same gas dock and someone told Blake that a disabled veteran was in one of the boats gassing up and he come over to meet me. I was very appreciative.”

Morgan is a retired Staff Sergeant US Air Force Special Operations Command (Airborne) who was injured in South America during a narcotics mission in 1999. His inspirational journey is chronicled in his bestselling book A Dog Called Hope, A Wounded Warrior and the Dog that Saved Him.
