Portsmouth Humane Society is Dangerously Full; Seeks Foster Homes for Animals in Need

Portsmouth Humane Society came to visit this week and they brought kittens!

PHS is FULL and needs the community’s help fostering homeless animals. Angela is a foster mom with PHS and she stopped by to tell us all about fostering these four kittens.

The four sisters and brother were found in a garage, abandoned by their mother. Sadly, their other sister did not make it. A kind Portsmouth resident brought them to the shelter where Angela took over. She fostered the kittens at home, bottle feeding them until they were ready to be adopted. They are now ready to find their forever homes! Visit PHS this weekend and ask about our Furry Friday friends.

Can’t adopt but still want to help? Open your heart and home to provide temporary care for homeless animals.

Foster Overview:

  • Portsmouth Humane will supply you with everything you need to get started, just supply the love!

  • Portsmouth Humane provides all of the vet care!

  • There is no fee or cost for fostering.

Foster parents are an important part of the shelter’s mission and enable them to save as many lives as possible. Not only are you giving an animal a chance to become more adoptable (by recovering from illness or injury, or learning how to behave in a home), but you are enabling the shelter to house another homeless animal in the shelter.
