Joe Nichols Starts Red Solo Cups Fundraiser in Honor of Toby Keith at Recent Concert

Raise your red solo cup in a salute to Joe Nichols today!  The country singer recently performed at a show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where Toby Keith was originally scheduled to play.

Keith announced last month that he is taking a break from touring after being diagnosed with stomach cancer.

“Last fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I’ve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax,” Keith shared in a statement. “I am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the fans sooner than later. I can’t wait.”

Nichols decided to start a fundraiser at the show in honor of the “Red Solo Cup” singer. Nichols signed the red plastic drinking cups and auctioned them off in a “Cups Up for Toby” challenge with 100% of the proceeds going towards Toby Keith Foundation, which helps children fighting cancer.

The “Sunny and 75” signer shared a video on TikTok saying, “In honor of my friend @Toby Keith , I have signed red solo cups that will be on sale at my merch table tonight right after my performance. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Toby Keith Foundation ♥️ If you aren’t here at the show tonight and are able to donate, scan the QR code! Love you bud.”
