Lainey Wilson has joined the cast of “Yellowstone” for season five and it sounds like her character is . . . basically . . . Lainey Wilson.
The country singer appeared at the 2022 ACM Honors where she said, “we’ve been on set all summer.” Wilson films the popular Paramount + show in Montana and said, “if it were up to me, I’d just stay in Montana.”
She also gave a little insight into her character. “It’s pretty much me,” she shared. “I’m getting to sing my own songs, I’m getting to wear my get-up, I just go by the name Abby [on the show].”
The “Heart Like a Truck” singer says the role was an unexpectant opportunity “but I made a promise to myself that if doors open, I’m gonna run through them.”
“This was truly a blessing from the Lord,” she added.”
