Ever since I moved to Hampton Roads last year, I kept hearing so many people tell me that I needed to do a day trip out to the town of Smithfield. I heard that it was a charming and historic town with a lively Main Street scene. It sounded up my alley! I finally made it out to visit Smithfield last weekend. I met a girlfriend for lunch, and then we walked, shopped and explored.

I was blown away by all of the beautiful historic homes in Smithfield! Fall seemed like the perfect time to explore. If you live in Smithfield, I’m jealous you get to be around all of this beauty all of the time! Here are a few snaps of some of my favorite homes that I saw. I highly recommend a day trip here if you haven’t been before!
